(1) System Structure

There are four parts in the central control system of aluminum oxide production. They are sub control stations, field control systems and a communication network. The filed PLC units in workshops such as the central control system, sub control stations, row pulp milling, pressure digestion treatment, red mud separation and washing, decomposition, mother liquor evaporation,  aluminum hydroxide felting and roasting and stockpile field workshops are connected by ring industrial Ethernet network.

(2) Requirements of Network

Due to environmental factors like dust, high temperature and strong electromagnetic radiation in the working environment of aluminum oxide workshops, to guarantee the reliability of the control system, a redundant optic ring network is adopted. The industrial Ethernet switches are required to be qualified for international protection, high temperature resistance and EMC.

(3) Implementation

Industrial Ethernet switches such as SICOM3000, SICOM3024, SICOM3016 and KIEN6000 are employed in the backbone network.
Industrial Ethernet switches such as KIEN3016B and KIEN3024 are employed in the FCS system in all workshops.
