The SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system in the water plant consists of the company control center, sub control centers in the water plant, monitoring stations in the water plant, as well as pipe pressurization and measurement stations.

In terms of the structure of the water plant SCADA, its communication network is divided into the backbone network and segment networks inside the water plane. The segment network is the industrial Ethernet network constructed by industrial Ethernet switches.
The backbone network can be implemented by industrial Ethernet, microwave and renting networks in light of various local communication conditions.

Industrial Ethernet switches such as SICOM3024, SICOM3000, KIEN6000 and KIEN2000 are employed in the local Ethernet network.
Industrial Ethernet switches such as SICOM6224 and SICOM3024 are employed in the backbone network and work together with other network devices.
