1) System Structure

The system automatically monitors and controls the ship’s generators, middle/lower voltage power distribution system, transformers, DC panels, and low voltage distribution system, etc. It consists of three parts: control layer in electric power monitoring center, communication layer and field control layer.

The communication layer employs dual industrial Ethernet ring topology, offering a reliable channel for field control system and control center.

2) Network Requirements

Industrial Ethernet ring network of 1+1 with recovery time of less than 100ms;
Excellent switching function ensures the transmission reliability of data;
Good EMC features meet the requirements of shipping electromagnetic environment;
Good temperature features;
High protection class ensures corrosion resistance to salt spray etc;

3) Product Application

SICOM3000/SICOM3024-M9 Industrial Ethernet switches are used in shipping distributed network system.
