The Pipe Line Monitoring System of Municipal Natural Gas Supply

The Pipe Line Monitoring System of Municipal Natural Gas Supply.pdf
(1) System Structure
The pipe line monitoring system of municipal natural gas supply is a central controlling, uniformly dispatching and distribution system based on the Ethernet network. It consists of MCC (Main Control Center), communication system (combining with industrial Ethernet network and wireless network), far end stations (could be hundreds of them, depending on the scale of the city).
Such a system has advantages of high reliability, distributed control and centralized management and adopted computing, controlling communication, graph and video technologies. All the far end stations are connected and perform system function via industrial Ethernet network.
(2) Requirements of Network
In terms of the distribution of the nodes, architecture can be chain, ring or star fabric. Requirements on the communication devices are
1) Must be adaptable to wide working temperatures from -35C to +75C
2) Multi-service accessing, including Ethernet ports, RS232 and RS485 ports.
3) Good EMC ability qualified for thunder shock and EMI
4) Qualified for humidity and dust.
(3) Implementation
Industrial Ethernet switches such as KIEN2032, KIEN6000, SICOM3000 and SICOM3016 are employed in the communication networks.
