The Power Supply Monitoring System of Petroleum / Natural Gas

The Power Supply Monitoring System of Petroleum Natural Gas.pdf

(1) System Structure

The transformer system of petroleum/natural gas is a typical long distance transformer system and it is fundamental for the production of petroleum/ natural gas. The monitoring system consists of transformer monitoring system, power grid monitoring system and communication network.

The communication network consists of two parts, the backbone network between transformer stations and dispatching center, and the network inside the transformer stations.

(2) Requirements of Network

The requirements on network devices are:
1) Must comply to IEC61850-3 specifications on EMC.
2) Must comply to IEC61850-8-1, IEC61850-7-1, IEC61850-7-2 specifications on prior transfer of control datagram.
3) Must be adaptable to wide working temperatures.
4) Must be qualified for internal protection; must be dust proof.
5) Self-diagnosis and alarm
6) Must offer protected redundant channels.
7) Safety guaranteed, open network, friendly accessing of devices from other vendors.

(3) Implementation

Industrial Ethernet switches such as SICOM4000 and SICOM6424 are employed in the monitoring center rooms or halls.

Industrial Ethernet switches such as SICOM3000 and SICOM3024 are employed in the data collecting points in production, transferring and storage systems.
