The Control System of Auxiliary Equipment in Power Plant

The Control System of Auxiliary Equipment in Power Plant.pdf

(1) System Structure

The auxiliary equipment in power plant include auxiliary processing systems of water, coal and ash. All the independent auxiliary systems are connected to DCS system of power plant, to build up the whole control network.

The auxiliary system of water includes water supplying subsystem of boilers, condensate polishing subsystem, weak acid processing subsystem of recycling water and pressure rising subsystem of pump room.

The control system of coal transferring performs coal feeding, coal mixing and computer monitoring and management. The equipments to be controlled are coal feeding machine, shaker and discharge plough. All of these equipments are connected via industrial Ethernet network.

The control system of bottom and ash handling system controls transferring fans, gasified fans, air lockers, heaters, valves, water pools and ash silos. All of the equipments are connected via industrial Ethernet network to the control system of auxiliary equipments.

(2) Requirements of Network

Because of the environmental factors like dust, salt spray and EMI, the network and devices are required to be qualified on
1.Internal protection over IP40
2.Non-fan cooling
3.EMC over industrial level 4
4.Corrosion resistance
5.Good insulation feature
6.Anti-shake and high reliability.

(3) Implementation

The industrial Ethernet switch such as SICOM3024, KIEN3024, SICOM3000 and KIEN6000 are employed in the redundant ring or star fabric network of the water, coal and ash auxiliary processing systems.

(4) Topology of Network
