(1) System Structure

With the increasing demands of power supply, safety and stability of information system is a fundamental factor of the rural power supply. The communication network of the information system is the bridge connecting to all data collection points. Network services include MIS (line loss, plan management, dispatching management, finance management and business development), billing system, video conference, meter reading system, video monitoring and OA.

(2) Requirements of Network

1.Must replace former SDH/PDH(E1) based narrowband network with 100M/1000Mbps Industrial broadband network.
2.Switching time must be up to 50ms, as fast as SDH
3.Friendly voice accessing via VoIP
4.Improve real-time transferring
5.QoS supported and safe priority policy.
6.Must be compliant with IEC61850-3, IEC61850-8-1, IEC61850-7-1, IEC61850-7-2 and IEC61850-4

(3) Implementation

The industrial Ethernet switches SICOM3000, SICOM3024, SICOM3048 and KIEN6000 are employed in systems of power supply companies.
