The Power Distribution Monitoring System of the National Stadium for Beijing Olympic Games.pdf
(1) System Structure
The distribution monitoring system of the National Stadium of Beijing Olympic Games monitors the power distribution systems in 31 venues including the National Indoor Stadium, National Aquatics Center, Laoshan Velodrome and so on. Its monitoring scope covers video and telecontrol information in substations, section rooms and isolator rooms.
The communication and accessing networks are built up by Kyland's SICOM3024 in this project, and transfers the information via communication networks to the control center at Qianmen, and power supply bureaus of Chaoyang, Haidian, Shijingshan and Shunyi districts
(2) Requirements of Network
1.The video information and telecontrol information need to be isolated and transferred. Kyland has adopted DT-Ring technology based on VLAN to meet this demand.
2.The accessing network needs to be in double-returning mode to guarantee the safety and stability of the communication system.
3.QoS policy of the accessing network should be qualified for reducing and isolating broadcast storms.
4.Must be compliant to EMC and temperature demands in accordance with IEC61850 specifications.
(3) Implementation
The redundant double-returning or crossed networks are connected by the industrial Ethernet switch SICOM3024, to transfer video information and telecontrol information from the substations, section rooms and isolator rooms.
